In this educational trip, the ninth-grade students journeyed from Hangzhou to Dunhuang, where they explored ancient murals in Mogao and Yulin Caves, experiencing the grandeur of culture and listening to tales carried by desert winds and camel bells on this historic land.

The students explored Yulin Caves, marveling at the intricate Buddha statues and vibrant murals. They discussed the expressions and stories within the artworks, feeling as though they were engaging in a spiritual dialogue with ancient artists.

Filled with awe for Dunhuang culture, the students explored the Mogao Caves and Mingsha Mountain, engaging in a deep dialogue with history and nature. The vibrant murals and lifelike sculptures left them in awe of ancient craftsmanship, while the story of the Sutra Cave brought them closer to the pulse of ancient civilization.

At Mingsha Mountain, the sand sings like nature’s melody. The students rode camels, slid down dunes, and marveled at the Crescent Spring, embracing the thrill of adventure. Each activity was a mix of fun and challenge, creating unforgettable memories of this unique landscape.

The students journeyed to Yumen Pass, feeling the vastness and solitude of this ancient fort, touching the echoes of history. In the Yardang Landform area, unique rock formations stood like works of art. Climbing the ancient city walls, they gazed out over the Loess Plateau, immersed in the weight of history.

After five days of exploration, the students gained a deeper understanding of Dunhuang. At the Dunhuang Museum, they experienced the wisdom and history of millennia-old art. While recreating murals, they both inherited and innovated Dunhuang’s art. The immersive experience of the Seeing Dunhuang Again sitcom deepened their appreciation for the unique cultural charm of Dunhuang.

This journey not only immersed the students in nature’s wonders but also deepened their understanding of ancient Chinese art and culture. Every day brought new discoveries, enriching their knowledge and expanding their horizons. With curiosity for the world and culture, they will continue writing their own exciting chapters in life.
