KUSAMA YAYOI
This is a Visual Arts class, as you can see all the board has drawings related to the artist technique, “dots. In this class, we will have two activities that will be explained later.
The information on the board is very brief because I have other teaching materials.
Step number one: new words for the students (they should write them in their notebooks). Coming up next you can see the name of the artist “KUSAMA YAYOI” there is a small phrase on the tentacles that the artist said “the earth is only one of a million dots” something to think over and talk about.
Step number two is very brief information about the artist because they are going to watch a short film about the artist.
Taking advantage of the topic, here we see the number three which is Complementary colors with a short explanation on the right side, as well we are going to review primary, secondary and tertiary colors.
Under the wheel says: Draw a wheel color in your notebook (This is the first activity)
Finally, we see the numbers four and five that say Listen the instructions and let’s do it; Bellow is the image of a flower full of dots with the text “Sculpture time” (the second activity for the class is to make a paper sculpture using her technique).
